QMC2 0.2 beta 4 (Default branch)

6 hours 50 min ago
M.A.M.E. Catalog / Launcher II (also referred to as QMC2) is the successor of one of the first XMAME GUI frontends available, QMamecat (derived from MAMECAT, which was text-only). QMC2 has been rebuilt from scratch as a Qt 4 project. Parts of the design and code were inspired by its predecessor. The new design was made as flexible as possible to minimize dependencies from frontend- and CLI-related MAME changes, which was a major deficiency of QMamecat. QMC2 uses a template-based MAME configuration scheme, which can easily be enhanced with additional command line options (defined in an XML template file). License: GNU General Public License v2 Changes:
The joystick test and calibration widgets are now enclosed in scrollable areas to allow for better handling of high amounts of axes and buttons - PS3/Sixasis users will profit most (though there are still some open issues with Sixasis controllers). There are minor speed improvements for loading of XML and gamelist caches by reading data block-wise. The XML cache data has been trimmed, saving memory and disk space. The number of (real/virtual) CPUs is displayed on the system information page. The frontend and emulator log browsers can now be limited to the amount of lines they keep in memory.

Strasheela 0.9.6 (Default branch)

8 hours 39 min ago
Strasheela is a highly expressive constraint-based music composition system. Users declaratively state a music theory and the computer generates music which complies with this theory. A theory is formulated as a constraint satisfaction problem (CSP) by a set of rules (constraints) applied to a music representation in which some aspects are expressed by variables (unknowns). Music constraint programming is style-independent and is well-suited for highly complex theories (e.g. a fully-fledged theory of harmony). Results can be output into various formats including MIDI, Lilypond, and Csound. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes:
This release supports new techniques for constraining the musical form, and demonstrates them in examples. Also, the definition of complex distribution strategies (variable orderings in the search) is simplified by special constructor functions. Several further examples have been added, and many other extensions and bugfixes have been made.
